Emergency. Hair is dying. ?

What can i say. I am a hair addict. Every shampoo and every conditioner. Tried and tested. My parents are in despair that i can never use all the products one after another. I keep chopping and changing looking for the best hair products.
I dye my hair a lot. I straighten my hair. I curl my hair. I even permed my hair. I just really like change. Its been fine until recently. I think everything is taken its toll upon the locks on my head. Even the air is turning against me! My hair is dry. Brittle. Split-end galore. I don’t even want to touch it anymore let alone anyone else. I’m tempted to shave it all off. Even i think it’s a little extreme and i’d never be able to do it but i’m desperate! please help! I even dropped 20 pounds to buy natural shampoo and conditioner. The ones without the chemicals and all but they cost so much! I love my hair but i don’t want to go bankrupt! I also want to grow my hair but the split ends are stopping it. I did have the ends trimmed but now my layers are showing signs of split ends. I can’t have them cut as my layers are short enough. What do i do?!! I’ve tried to dampen down on putting too much heat on my hair. I let my hair dry naturally. But it dries the wrong way that i must straighten or curl it in the end. I need a hair specialist. Or a miracle.
I’m sorry. I am really not brave at all! The last time i had my hair cut short, i regretted every minute of it! I know it will be better for my hair but i can’t have it cut off. It’s like cutting my opportunities in half. I can’t sit and let it be hacked. I like the fact that i can do more with long hair. Short hair doesn’t suit me. I doubt bald would suit me either. Please don’t tell me to cut it off! I need less painful advice! I’m willing to spend the money if it means i can keep my hair!

lol your hairs already dead, hair is dead as a rule but its how we look after it that counts! You need to book in with a reputable hair salon and get some serious treatments into it to bring it back to acceptable! i can understand you like change but try to lay off putting so much rubbish on your hair or you will loose it and it will fall out!

    Hey I’ve done that too..

Your hair needs to rest now.. I used to sleep with in deep conditioner, wash your hair, apply the deep conditioner and put a plastic thingy on your hair. Do this alot.

My friend recomends you rub your hair in olive oil and let it soak for a day.

There’s also something called egyptian hairl oil that makes the hair look nice, but when it washes off it’s the same. However it makes it look nice and healthy no matter how damaged it is.

why are you doing that to your hair “STOP” not good or healthy! be lucky to have hair. if your hair is as bad as you say go talk with a stylist they always have good hair care products that should help. or have you can tried using baby shampoo or leave in conditioner overnight ….best of luck to you

Sweetie, you have your answer. You have well and truly OVERPROCESSED your hair. You are your own hair expert and I would hope you have heard this term before. ALFA PARF have a brilliant range but, bad news you have to spend the money to get it. I’m sorry darlin, there is NOTHING you can do for those split ends, not a thing. Except for.. cutting them off. My advice is to go the chop and start again. Your hair will well and truly thank you for it. I’m sorry hun.. This is the same advice you will get everywhere, unless of course the salon just wants to take your money.

wow and i thought i was bad lol………well sadly for you your gonna have to start from scratch. ie shaving it off, i did this myself, we think if we change our hair then we will be treated differently and more respected, but at the same time we love a change and are never happy for more than a week or two. be brave do a gi jane go to a number 2 and wait it out, when it gets to the what the hell can i do with it now stage, get some funky wash in wash out colours you will be amazed at what you can do with it. but if you really cant be that brave, then i suggest you cut it to as short as you dare, and dont touch it no more, hard i know but if you want to grow it, and for it to be in top condition you really have no other choice hun.

    hope this helps
    good luck :)

I think you’re going to have to cut it off whether you like it or not. The only way to repair the state of your hair, is to start from scratch and take better care next time. This is the regime I follow (my hair is below shoulder length and healthy):

    1. never brush hair when its wet, as this breaks it and causes split ends
    2. condition the ends of your hair every time you shampoo (which shouldn’t be everyday, ideally two-three times a week)
    3. only shampoo your scalp, and the shampoo will run off and clean the rest of your hair without drying it out
    4. get it cut regularly every six weeks
    5. this is the most difficult to stick to: never use heat appliances. The most I’d say is 5 times a year for special occasions but no more than that. That means no hair straighteners, no curlers and you can’t dry your hair with a hair dryer- let it dry naturally.

I know it’ll be hard to resist, but it’s for the best. You’ll come to appreciate the routine later on when the results are clear- and respect the amount of strain you can put your hair under. You said that when you let your hair dry naturally it curls the wrong way and you ‘have’ to straighten it, I used to think like that but eventually I realised that your hair can look nicer with volume, and a bit of a windswept look. Try to stop obsessing and embrace every dysfunctional little curl, appearancce isn’t everything after all.
Plus, short hair can look cute with a head band or bow clip. You could wear either one until your hair grows out. Good luck and remember, no more dying your hair!

It’s nothing! don’t buy all the shampoos that you find in the market… get the one you need. for example if your hair frizz a lot buy one for that, if they are too oily buy a shampoo specialized for that…. never use different shampoo and conditioner! then you also have to buy an oil for protection or a serum both would do. i recommend you buy one that is not for dry her and it is for protection from the sun and heat too (expert heat protection taming serum). leave your hair for a little while on their physical shape and put some mousse to hold it. you have to change shampoo every 4-5 months because after a period it doesn;t do any good and you will see that they will start to oil in two days the most. tip! don’t use these natural crap shampoos because they don’t work and they are too expensive

I would recommend regularly getting the ends of your hair trimmed and once your layers are long enough to do the same with those.
Also lee stafford do some really good conditioning treatments, I especially would recommend the over night one.
